They have some amazing local guitar talent perform there from time to time. Worth checking out.

Hey Denise ...... I'm sure it would work seamlessly. I can't think of a better venue.
Love the atmosphere and the staff. Great outdoor seating, lush gardens and lawn, and great service. I don't know why more people don't take advantage of this great spot.
Didn't have the beer I went looking for.Nice quaint place
The drinks were good, server was nice. Food was awful. Bathroom was filthy needs a good cleaning, and repair. Run down.
Very rural feel (in a good way), good service, food not so good.
Good staff, food good and prices reasonable
Quiet and cozy. Great service
Went on wing night. We had a great server. The qings were good
A large group of us - 17 in fact - gathered here for the live music, drinks and a bite to eat. The live music was excellent, Andy was on point as usual. The service was weak but the kicker was that half an hour into our evening my sister was taken aside by one of the servers and told that the kitchen was out of commission! We now had to find an alternative venue to feed 17 people on short notice. Many thanks to the Sawmill in Chemainus, who with an hour and a halfs notice on a Friday night, seated our entire group in a private room.
Friendly neighborhood pub; and for dogs, too. Food is good, serving staff attentive. Very chill place off the beaten track.
great atmosphere. the appys were great. friendly local patrons
Food is fairly good. Not the steak sandwich though. Meat was tough. Service was a little slow but staff friendly.
I would probably say 7 out of 10. The food was pretty good but no salad or even choice of salad with my steak sandwich and one small piece of tomoato in the donair. Still cash only which is a pain, but apparently that is going to change soon.
Good atmosphere and nice people. Live music on friday night.
Quaint, good service. Needs a boost of their menu.
A little dingy but not quite a dive bar, the new owners are doing a good job keeping this neighbourhood pub going. The food is awesome, nice friendly staff, and wing nite Wednesday is awesome!
Okay ambience, but ho hum food. Would recommend for afternoon drinks in the sunmer
Simple and relaxing, somedays just what you need from this charming local countryside pub. This is my go to beer and a burger pub near home and perfect for a lazy Saturday afternoon. Tucked off the main road in Saltair located in a heritage building amongst the trees. When you want good ole' pub food like the locals, consider Saltair Pub.
Nice friendly little neighborhood pub ..
As we entered, the restaurant as smoky/hazy inside and virtually empty. We ended up only having a drink because several items on the menu were unavailable. It was also implyed that the cook was not interested in cooking so we drank our beverages and left. The music was good.
Under new management! Don’t bother. Dropped by this afternoon. Totally ignored by the staff. The place doesn’t look as if it’s been cleaned - cobwebs under the tables, windows are dirty and the glue form old posters on the windows still there. Walked out and will need a lot of convincing to come back. Maybe new management but same disappointment.
Fri. Night, busy. Good place to relax. Food was good. Service somewhat slow as a staff person was late. Overall prety good considering circumstaces.
Terrible food, my burger tasted like it was from a run down concession stand at the beach. My partner got a donair which wasn't even a donair and tasted like it might give food poisoning. Service was mediocre, cook didn't seem to care.
Good local pub
Good pub food . Old fashion decor . Nice place to go for dinner .
Now reopen from wind storm, and break in damage ,burgers and donairs are good
Nice ambiance, but they were short staffed. The server tried her level best to keep up. The cook wasn't very fast and inexperienced.
Great nachos very generous, Burger was also great loaded and delicious. Will be back. Beautiful relaxed very comfortable, great service.
Brilliant local pub. Really friendly welcome with good food and great selection of beer.
Beautiful little spot in Chemainus. Patio is wonderful in the summer!! Guinness on-tap just how I like it.👌 I had chicken strips and fries and they were great. Staff were very friendly and attentive.. Perfect place to stop for lunch.
Heard of new management. Looked at current reviews. Thought we'd take a chance. I usually don't complain however this was really bad! We had chicken wings that were covered in way too much batter. Most likely packaged frozen wings. The caesar salad was soaked in dressing with no croutons or parmesan cheese! I felt sorry for the waiter! You could see it on his face that he was embarrassed about the food. He didn't charge us for some items which was very gracious. The owners need a new cook and freshen up the menu. Not going back!
Quaint out of the way spot for lunch
Under new management...great food ...great service on a very busy Sat night.
My wife and I had the pleasure to stop in to this neighbourhood pub, housed in the old Knight family homestead. We were lucky as it was rather quiet when we arrived for lunch and the service was prompt and the server very personable. We walked around the place, inside and out after our delicious lunch and certainly liked what we saw.I had been to this pub before, many years ago, and am glad to see it still in operation and it appears, they are doing a decent business. The food was good but a bit expensive, as were the drinks but all-in-all I recommend the Saltair Pub and Liquor Store. We will certainly return.
Brand new menu, brand new management ... awesome food and great service!!!
Burger was good. Service was slow and waitress not attentive.
Phenomenal food!!!!! The female is the best they have ever had!! Don't know her name but defiantly going to eat there again. A little pricy but worth it!!
They had an excellent lunch menu, friendly service and a wonderful pub atmosphere! We look forward to going again!
Surprised by the reasonable food prices. I will return.
New management ... new cook ... awesome food!
Nice place tucked away in Sunny Saltair. Decent local beer on tap and a good pub feel.
Love the old fashion atmosphere!! Great fun!!
Really disappointing.Dont expect good service, good food, or good beer. Can't offer any options if you have food sensitivities..Why "reopen"?The musician however was good. And the only positive thing here
Wonderful staff , wonderful atmosphere, great prices. Can't say enough good about it !!
Still in recovery mode ...give them another chance!
The food was mediocre. The waitress was clueless. The beer on tap was watery. While the live entertainment was good, it was far too loud for such a small establishment. Used to enjoy this place, but this was our last visit under “new” management. Sigh...
Quiet out the way locals looking pub
Great place off the beaten track! Really friendly locals and staff who happily chatted away a wet afternoon with us. The barmaid (who recognised my top from a gift shop in Tofino) was lovely! We stumbled across this place 'by mistake' but would happily go out of our way to visit again.
Went here for my 19th birthday. The service was very accommodating, I enjoyed the food, and the drinks where very good.
We’ve driven past numerous times always saying we should stop there some time, today was the day. Nice place, interesting history, Standard pub fare, good selection of local brews. It was a Thursday late afternoon and the place only had a few people this day but the new manager warned us that the place gets busy from the locals on Friday and Saturday nights.
The food was good. When we came in the place it wasn't too busy. It did take 10 mins before someone gave us a menu. Besides that the service was good. When the server came to the table my drink was over half full. When she turned away I finished the drink and started a timer. It took 5 mins for her to see my drink was empty which was not bad at all. Overall, we were here for 40 mins, had 3 appetizers which were all good. The Greek poutine is worth The try. The server talked us into desert which came shortly after. Overall the experience was good.. 55 bucks, not bad for a little house converted into a bar.
